My right hand side pannier does not expand. The locking bar should sweep through 180 degrees from pannier closed to pannier expanded; mine will only get to about 100 degrees. It looks as though the pannier is not expanding in an even manner, i.e. it is expanding in a lop-sided fashion with the top - handle end - failing to move/expand correctly.

Any thoughts as to how I rectify this?

On my old 650 panniers, the plastics would stick - sounds like yours are doing the same. You needs to give it some lube - Silicon spray or even furniture polish, like pledge, should help :thumb2

Had the same with one of mine. Stripped the whole thing down and there's not much to go wrong unless you've really forced it and jumped the mechanism. Mine was due to the inner part of the box picking up a load of dirt and grinding it between the rubber seals. The box also appeared to have got a bit mishapen (sun?) which stopped it moving. I'd recommend that you give it a good wash, clear the muck out and use some silcone spray around the sliding seal before you take it all to bits.....
