Quick Q,

When did the design of the front & rear seat change?

I'm looking for a low seat for my 06 1200GS, and seen a few on the bay, but they look way way different to what i would expect / compared to mine?

Mart

Anything between 2004 and 2012 (2013 for a GSA) will fit. I've got a low rider's seat, surplus to requirements, sitting in my garage but I'm not really interested in posting it.

I have a low seat which through colleagues of mine at work could make its way down to your area.

Not sure what the going rate might be at the mo, I know I paid a decent amount for it, but it has not been used for several years now.

Drop me a pm if you are interested.

The sargent seat on mine is good for 350miles without any discomfort.
Quality bummel.

I tried a standard height Sargent. (1) I could not properly reach the floor (I had a similar issue with Corbin on another bike) and (2) the piped edge dug into my thigh. No complaint's I just suspect Sargents suit people with longer legs.

Saying that My Kahedo (GS standard height) is ok for a couple of hundred miles but the GSA height with about 20mm more padding is more comfortable for longer.

I bought a second hand screen and sargent seat the seat was worn so did not quite fit my bike (looks) riding it home i did not feel any difference so sold it on.
Im 5'10 but 29 inside leg so only just ok with standard seat.
I think for comfort it needs more padding under legs to take pressure off bottom.
Thanks bobad for info on upholsterer might be a good route to take.
Anyone here had it done ?

I recently changed the seat on my twin cam for a Kahedo standard seat and it makes a huge difference.

The standard seat was a real pain in the ass and the new one is worth every penny.........
