Like to powder coat my 2008 R1200GS alloy wheels (with air pressure sensors) black...is this feasible or just a crook idea particularly given off road usage? Welcome feedback, Thx Simonb
You'de need to strip the spokes out so you just have hub and rim, get them powder coated and re-lace the wheel back together (specialist job). I have been wanting to do this for a while now, but am going to wait until next year.
I got a quote for the Devon RiM Co to do the lot, strip, coat and rebuild and it was nearly £500 with all new stainless spokes and nipples.!!!
I will strip and coat mine then take to specialist to re-lace.

I think he meant ally (as in cast) not spoked
Sorry, in which case strip off tyre, valve (monitor), bearings and take them to the powder coaters.
