Ayup chaps, following on with my mods ive now fitted some bst carbon rims the rear has a fat 190 tyre does not catch at all, the transformation is amazing out handling sports bike ..........












I do have some new 17'' sports wheels for sale if anyone wants to convert there bike there as new and posted in the for sale section at a bargain price

Nice conversion, and very nice wheels.

I did something similar to my old GS a few years ago, using R1200S wheels.
I loved the sharp handling and grip from the sports rubber. But i was running out of ground clearance, due to the reduced ride height.

Were those the BST wheels from Rainbow, they had them on display there @ £2700 for a pair:eek:
 
Yonga, im only a lightweight so reduced height suits me, however ive been to germany and the ring last week and whilst playing i had the pegs touch down, what impresses me the most how far the thing leans over now running off the edge of the tyre and how quick it turns direction it just gives confidence, i had a play with afew plastic rockets the look on there faces was priceless :cool: i wonder if they tell there mates they got had by a gs!!

Jonnyboxer, nape they not from rainbow, HPS are the uk retailers for bst, and the price you quoted is correct for retail.. but i paid :P

Ive also got a pair of R1200S wheels/tyres i was going to put these on my wifes 2010 gs but she cant cope with the size of the bike and lost confidence so looks like ill be selling a 2010 gs fully loaded with 2k on the clock shortly as well.

You can take the cylinder heads out on knobblies if you've got the bollox,and how do you keep up with an R1 when it gets into third gear:hide
 
Ayup vern, we all know any plastic rocket is going to pass a gs in a straight line, its in the twisties they run out of tallent ;)

And if you want something thats faster than fast .

I had a set of BST carbon wheels on my Ducati, the bike turned into a corner so quickly that you had to re-calibrate your head before riding it.

Amazing mod on a GS enjoy
