Hi, found these on a website, and so impressed with the idea, i ordered 3 sets. I know this isnt the for sale forum, but contact me if you need any info.
I think they would be ideal for anyone that has a 1150 and a 1200gsa, or anyone planning to change to a 1200gsa in the future, or even someone with a 1150gs that just likes the look! nick 01869 346186.

details

the rails come from a company in poland called HOLAN.

rails cost 150 euro. post 35 euro. and you need to get your bank to tranfer the money, that cost me £30.

the R1200GSA panniers cost about £235 each.

a set of 8 non recodeable R1200 locks and 2 keys £48.

So all in..around £660 unless you can get some panniers second hand.

anyway... another photo..:thumb

Good find, Nick :thumb2

I'm not a huge fan of the un-protected aluminium BMW boxes, but the overall cost of those aren't off the scale, for sure :thumb2

Should appeal to a few folk :rob

Hi Nick,

Looks good.:thumb2 I was thinking of changing my side panniers to the Touratech Zega cases. How do these compare in quality and ease of use.

Any info that you could give me would be great. Very interested. I would have the BMW adv cases and rack to offset against the cost :)

well...

these would cost about £100 less than the t/tech type with the exhaust cutout. You could use the panniers on your R1200GSA when you get it. Pannier parts readily available from BMW. Bike looks ok with panniers off. If you damaged a pannier, it`s only going to cost just over £200 to replace.

Its win win. :D nick

got them

see photo... any questions? :D

Cough! The price of this kit never ceases to amaze me. How many if us can afford £600 upwards for two boxes and the racks? How many of us use them, or are we paying through the nose for "the look" ?
I'm not knocking the price or quality per se, just the concept that either a fashion accessory, or a necessary add on, depending on your view, is worth a quarter of the purchase price of my sixteen year old bike. Even if you have just bought a new GS, then should you have to pay another 8% on top for luggage, that you would not have to add on if you bought a car?
I know it's not just because it's associated with BMW either. My recent search for after market luggage found very similar prices for plastic boxes as a group, and then similar again for the metal ones. In the end they all get scratched accidentally, so I thank my lucky stars that I found some BMW cases second hand.
Honestly, I'd cry if I scratched £ 600 to £ 1000 worth of new kit.

Gave about 500 quid:eek: for mine years ago thery are much better than the plastic bmw stuff, easier to load, get more in them, etc. I like to think there nearly worth what I paid back then, but who knows :nenau
