R1200GSA TE ordered

Thats a good question. I think the key attractiveness of the BMW PCP, is that the interest rate is low ( often 2.9% ) , the credit vetting is simple because BMW underwrite it themselves. A friend of mine who works for the dealer in oxford, tells me he has never had an application bounce.

When you look at some of the Triumph (9.9%), Japanese vendors (9%) finance alternatives they seem to be a rip off ( just referring to the interest charged).

The impact on the used market of all these (extra) sales is already evident imho.

I wish, Dick Lovett quoted me 9.9% on a new GS........
With PCP I would do my calculations on the basis that in 3 years time I would only get 50% of my deposit back. If interest rates finally go up and second hand values drop, don't assume that a new bike is available at the same monthly rental

even if interest rates go up, its not likely to shoot up and maybe a couple more years before it goes above 1%.

First direct sent me an e mail today offering a personal loan for 3.3%, so why would you borrow it from BMW at 9.9

I took advantage of the 2.9% deal that was on last year, bmw's normal finance rates are pretty shocking. I'm happy enough paying £66 pm for a new GS.

Well after sometime and much mashing of teeth I have eventually put pen to paper and ordered a R1200GSA TE.

I considered and test rode several previous versions, but I think the latest version is the right package for me.

Only 58 more sleeps to go !

Same here just ordered my second GSA and what will be my 3rd GS I much prefer the twin it suits my riding style perfectly. I've had some fun on the S1000XR but my head and heart is with the the GSA.
So if any one is interested my XR is for sale on eBay complete with panniers and top box.

Looking forwards to March

She finally arrived yesterday 44 days after ordering, very happy. I did wonder, but didn't ask, if I had ordered one with gear shift assistant pro, if they would have found one more quickly.

Now to get it run in, should hopefully take a week to ten days.

^^^^^^^^^ just as Shunt correctly stated, the seat is low at both the front and rear. The pillion seat is adjustable front to back, but not for height.

If you are anything like me your sleeps will be interspersed with developing your farkle wishlist.

In fact, with 30 sleeps to go, the bike shaped void in my garage is starting to fill with cardboard boxes :thumby:

I think most farkles are here or en route, if its too cold for Mrs YMFB to come out fora ride, I might fit a few things.
