Hi folks!
My name is Jordy and i'm from Belgium.
I drive a R1200RS from 2017.
Before i add my issue, i'll give you all some context as to what happened.
I was mounting the wunderlich handlebar.
I made the collossal mistake of putting DOT4 in the clutch reservoir.
This quickly started destroying every seal in the entire clutch system.
(Yeah...learn from my stupidity please!)
I've since ordered a used master, used slave cyl and new tubing.
Everything fit well, i've put the LHM+ green fluid in as the V10 fluid wasn't available for a bit at my local dealer.
Mounted everything, bled the system by using a vacuum pump aswell as pushing on the slave cyllinder.
Clutch appears to operate normal.
However! Every since this incident happened, my bike seems to have some clutch drag.
it really clunks into 1st 2nd & 3rd. after that the clutch is buttersmooth along with the quickshift.
1 to 2 tends to grind briefly.
When i hold in the clutch for a while, move from 1 to N and then back to 1, it's smooth.
What can cause this issue?
references:
-BMW R1200RS 2017 with quickshifter
-70k miles / 113k Km's
-Used master came off a low mileage RT, same partnumber as RS
-Used slave came out of a low mileage R1250RS, same partnumber as RS
Thank you kindly for your time!
