Hi chaps, traded my 1200gs in for a 1250 gsa rallye. love the bike but finding that the screen isn't much good.my old bike had no buffeting or wind noise but the 1250 is terrible. i'm a right shortarse at 5ft 7 and despiite the misenden flyer describing the 1250 as " being sat in a buble of calm" and him also being a fellow smurf i'm a bit confused/disapointed. is it just me or are we all suffering the same noise? how do the big blokes get on. Any ideas as to a cure? all replies appreciated, even sarcastic/heightist ones!

Screen on the 1250 GSA is the same width and height as the 1200 GSA these are larger than the GS screen, so in actual face should be better than the GS. Are you sat higher than the GS ? Try lowering the seat to see if it helps .

Thanks DC, I thought that also, the screen on the gsa being bigger it would provide more protection. But it doesn't.seat is in the low position

Had the same problem, bought a Vstream screen, everything perfect now (but had to remove the givi handguard extenders)

Why did you remove the Givi handguard extenders, which I planned to fit to my 1250 this weekend ?

He had the GS previously which has a smaller screen hence the lack of buffeting being shorter.
I've tried taller screens and some work as you're behind them - others smack you in the face/top of head because of where they send the air.

The Givi Highflow screen works really well but for me being shorter in the body it puts the air in the wrong place when using the Touratech helmet. The GS helmet is ok with it. Seeing as the Touratech is my go to one its in the for sale section unfortunately.
Try a standard GS one if you can - plenty on here would swap with you. I would for a start.

Id imagine they touch the screen on full lock, not sure but thats my thought’s on it. Cant see any other reason tbh.

No, I had the gs screen, then tried the gsa, better but not much better, but my main problem with it was that the lateral cutouts let the wind go under the helmet with incrased noise.
The Vstream is way better there, but, initialy I was desapointed because I had some buffeting beetwen the screen and the helmet that I didn´t with the bmw screens, by trial and error I tried to remove the handguards...and bingo, problem solved (and I don´t miss the handguards too much)
