Hi Chaps

Whilst the wheels are off for new tyres, I thought (as I often do) that I would pop out the brake pads and give them and the calipers a good clean.

No problem with the rears, but I dont have a small enough torx socket for the Hayes fronts.

Can anyone guide me on the size required?

Thank you

He make a very good point about the small circlip on the end of the pin which you cant see. It WILL disappear into a dark place if you just undo the pin.

Been there done that.

A race mechanic gave me a tip about cleaning calipers. Very hot water and and washing up detergent as opposed to brake cleaner which does the rubber seals no good.
