R1250GSA lower LH crash bar replacement

Morning all,

Only picked up my 2023 GSA recently and unfortunately, there being a dip in the ground underneath my left foot when I stopped, made a misjudgement and the bike took a tumble. I'm not sure if the lower crash bar is bent but there is quite a bit less of a gap when comparing distance from rubber protector to cylinder head between left and right side. So, I've ordered a replacement but need to sort out torx sockets - does anyone know what the sizes are please? I assume also that as I'm fitting a genuine part but doing it myself that the warranty isn't affected?

I'm on genuine crash bars, the gap on each side is slightly different, about 5mm.

The cylinder head is closer on the LH side compared to the right.

I would remove the damaged part and measure the bolts off it to be sure as you never know you may have one thats been updated etc.

Easily attainable from Ebay (I replace all accessories that come with nuts and bolts with Torx so I don't have to carry a huge toolkit)

If this is a standard OEM part then the part numbers of everything will be on RealOEM

The Torx is T45 for those bolts.

The cylinders on both the 1200 and 1250 are offset so there will be a difference in the gap between the bars and cylinders/heads.

Before you go mad why not pop along to your dealer and compare the measurements on yours with another GSA (assuming they have one in stock) just to check if the engine bar is actually bent ..... or not.

Thanks for the replies all. Had a look at a couple of other new 1250GSA’s - the bars on one were evenly gapped each side, but the other had significantly different gaps.
