I shall shortly be looking for some engine / crash bars for my 1250, mainly to mount aux lights on, so prob 25mm diameter.

I’ve seen very expensive and very cheap. Of note were the simple Givi /Kappa ones, quite a few quid between them but what’s the difference? Better powder coating, thicker walled tubing.

Any ideas chaps, or ideas for aux lamp mountings down near the engine as I want to keep them away from the indicators.

Thanks
Rich

So I went for Illium. Main reasons, engine bars don’t need removing for valve checks. Rears can be removed if not using panniers. I tested them a couple of weeks ago. Not a mark on the bike, just a scratch on the front bats. Which I’ve now touched up, so ready for the next drop. As for aux lights, the standard lights are on the bars using the illium brackets. I also have Denali D2 under the indicators, which go out on the side you indicate with, so the lights don’t wash out the indicators.

I bought the Wunderlich engine bars.
Lights are fitted to those. Not sure how much as I had it done before I collected the bike at the garage.
