R12RT LC right hand switch gear replaced at first service

FYI only...

Took my 2014 r1200rt LC in for its 12 month service at 6200 miles and they replaced the right hand switch gear, I had not had any problems with it, but obviously there is a bulletin on this.

They changed mine today but it was on my GS-LC at 6000 service. It had been working absolutely fine with no issues.

My 2012 Twin-cam (Very similar switchgear) has been through loads of the things.

Left side failed at about 5k and again at 12k.
Right was changed as a "precaution" at 12k, but that "new and improved number" failed at 16k.

So it's now on its third set on both sides!

All costs picked up by BMW, but lost me a number of days on two separate trips.

They told me they are changing mine ! , never had an issue with it either ! Weird .

Mine was also changed a couple of weeks back when my 2014 RT LC had to have a pannier mechanism fixed under warranty (offside pannier would not securely lock onto the bike)
