They are the newer version notable by the USB-C ports rather than the USB-A on the originals that had the issues. Purchased with the bike last May and used for just one European trip in October.
Anything that looks like a dent in the panels is a reflection. The aluminium panels are completely unmarked as I fitted one of those Ali Express clear vinyl kits to the aluminium panels before setting off as they were just begging to get scratched. You'll also be able to see some rather none professional looking helicopter tape I applied preemptively to the tops where they inevitably get clattered by a rogue boot attached to an arthritic hip being swung over them.
Obviously they are unlocked but there is no key included so you'll need to get the locks recoded/replaced.

At the risk of stating the obvious, you won't be able to collect these on your 1300GS as you need the key to secure them to the bike.
