I’m selling an R80/100GS Brembo twin-bleed Brembo brake caliper on a well-known auction site. I’ve been asked if it will fit as a replacement for the ATE calipers on the R45.

Anyone know if they do, and also if it will fit both sides (L & R)?

Thanks in advance

They won’t fit on the fork sliders ……
I’m sure a replacement slider will fit the bottom of the r45 forks to be able to hold the brembo…..but I’m sure more knowledgeable people will be along shortly

As above, Brembos wont fit the earlier sliders.
Converting from ATE to Brembo on earlier airheads (those with spoked wheels) necessitates finding a wheel with the (rare) narrower hub, otherwise there are caliper/wheel interference issues.
In any event, didn't the r45 come with Brembos from the start?
