Can anyone enlighten me as to the function of the brake failure warning light on a 60/6 with drum brakes?

The lamp would ordinarily be wired the brake fluid level switch when an under tank master cyl is fitted.

From what I’ve seen online all the 60/6 models have the same instrument binnacle with the brake warning light even with drum brakes. Just seems odd on cable operated brakes. I reckon you’re right Mike - money saving exercise!
A useful ignition-switched source of power from the loom, perhaps?
