shhhhhhhhh!

don't let them feckers on the rest of the site know....:augie

have had a close look at a "basic" and really fancy buying one:thumb

but!

price range:nenau

there really are no guidelines?

any help apreciated

hm

I had one advertised for £3K.............no takers on this Forum

Went within a few days to another contact

If you want some info about Basics have a look at one of my web pages

here

I was a fan but I now think that the market has "topped" and they are on the way down, although one could recently have been sold for £8K (plus?), if you add the "K" factor - and there will be none for sale soon as everyone is "hording" them

I am moving onto K1's

You will most likely have to pay between £4,500 and £7,500, and maybe more for one with the K factor....and will have to be quick at the bottom end

There are a couple for sale at the higher end of the scale plus maybe a bit more to the novice, not that I am suggesting that you are a novice.

They are really only a R80GS with a ST tank, shorter rear sub frame and a different colour scheme.

But every body wants one in Europe and when only just over 3,000 were made supply and demand factors dictate.

is there a frame number sequence to identify a proper 80 basic from a
"dressed-up st"

frame numbers - did you read my web page

An ST can never be a Basic
An ST is a mono
A Basic is a para

If you are offered one, don't tell any of these "Tossers" or they will try to "nick" it! - but I have had a few Basics and if you want an opinion you can always PM me.
(As I said I cannot see me buying another - so no competition on that front)
