Well it's about time I did something with it so here goes.

It started out as a non runner bought in Apr 2010, not particularly pretty but had a bit of promise. (May live to eat my words here)

A few shots of before, during and almost stripped.

Stripping is the easy part, finding what lies beneath is the painfull part.

Cleaned the garage and decided to finish the strip off.

However I was thwarted by a 36 mm socket, must buy more tools:D

One of the barrels is shagged

Picked up the frame, mono lever and subframe from the powder coaters and they gone and done a great job. :thumb2

£95 for the lot and finished it before the quoted return date. Everything had been masked off properly and threads covered.

Their main income is from motorbike restoration/customising and is en-route to Bristol Airport.

No link to the vendor other than a satisfied customer http://www.realitymotorworks.co.uk/

Twas like unwrapping your first girlfriend :D

Paul,

You posted that one of your barrels were shagged. Did you get sorted? I have a pair of B code barrels you can have FOC if they're any good to you. Very low mileage and in excellent nick. I'll even bead blast them if you want them.

:beerjug:

Hi Rob, yes It looks like the nicasil coating has lifted and peeled off.

I take it B's are over size Rob.

Gladdly use them :beerjug:

Thank you

Paul,

They don't have oversize in Nikasil but have three different graded sizes of barrels. There's a code stamped on yours near to where they meet the crankcase. If yours are a B code you can use your original pistons, obviously you are welcome to them even if yours are different.

Do you want to come over and do the gearbox?

Mine are "A" grade so I'd need a pair of pistons. I'll price a pair up.

A gearbox review sounds like a great idea. :thumb2

I'm back out in Madrid next week and the week after but should be up in EM soon after that. Thank you its much appreciated.

If you bring your front wheel with you we could check the taper bearings while we're at it.

Sent you a PM

Looks like my new bits have arived at home, pity I´m no where near them.

Never mind it´ll keep me occupied on a cold winters night.

Can´t wait to get it back to a rolling chassis.

:D

I reconise that bench.

It's funny how it mounts up, all three steads require some sort of work done.

But I did receive my bits from M-works/bins so plenty to get on with.
