R80 Gearbox Oil

Is there a recomended oil for the airhead gearbox, as in manufacturer. What oil are all you old farts using these days

Not So Much grade as you must make sure it is GL5 specification

I believe the recommended oil is ep80 but when i had my R80rt i tried 80/90 semi synthetic.This seemed to make the gears a little less clunky.

Screwfix are doing 4.5l for £10.49 as pointed out by Brassmonkey Here

Looks like screwfix online has run out. this is the next best price I could find £16.99 Here and £14.70 Here no idea of P&P charges

Rock Oil 80/90 GL5 £15/5litres from local truck parts supplier or Rock Oil rep.

My local servo/ Mazda dealer sold me Shell Spirax A for GBP12- for 4 litres, not much more than 3 times the price of 98 Super.

It's only going in the transaxle of the Mazda - I , err, shell out 3 times that for Mobil 1 full synth gear oil for the bikes----.

Screwfix are not doing the oil any more, it is now removed from their catalogue. I asked in store today.
