Many thanks for the info, don't suppose your mate would be interested in making another adapter for the gearbox for some of your euros?
Sounds like I had better try and find an R80GS frame first but if nothing turns up some serious strengthening may have to be done on the frames that I have.

Crazy Ivan - GPS mount

One of those pics shows what looks like a Garmin eTrex held in a sturdy-looking handlebar mount.

The only mount I have seen for this GPS is a crappy one that is too flimsy for proper off road work - can you tell me where you sourced that mount?
