R80G/S front end in wanted section

I've just posted a wanted ad for forks/wheel/disc/caliper for my 1986 R80G/S PD. Currently fitted with a R100GS front end and I would like to return it original. Anyone got one gathering dust?

Sorry cant help with the bits, but are you getting rid of your R100 GS front end? I might be interested in that as an upgrade to my G/S

Good point, but I didnt suggest it as I dont actually want to sell my G/S front end as I will, at some point, restore the bike to original spec when I have got over my upgradeitis !

Any forks from the 81-84 road bikes will fit. The only difference is the bottom yolk on the g/s has four holes underneath for mounting the high mudguard and there's a small spacer that fits under the spring to give the illusion that the forks are longer

Apart from that its a standard road bike front end.

Is your current front end fitted with a cross spoked wheel?

I have an ST front wheel that could be for sale that uses the same hub as the g/s but is fitted with a 19" rim.

Thanks, Rob, my current front wheel is a cross spoked R100GS 21" I am keen on trying to get back to original so will probably wait for a 21" G/S wheel and forks to come up but it is great to know what is compatible.
