R80ST fork oil seals

My eyesight not being up to it I’m struggling to see the size of these fork oil seals. I think 36 46 7.3/8.8. The same across several models. Am I correct? Would help to buy locally this afternoon rather than order from ‘works or ‘bins.

The first two figures are the important ones,and are correct.The last is the height which is not critical if you are using a stock seal from a factor.
Just fitted a set to my G/S, I had two sets in my stash, one set black and rubbery looking, the other blue/gray and more plasticky.
I fitted the blue ones, so if you go to a factor it might be prudent to ask for a sliding seal, in case they are different to a rotating one

Thanks. It has the blues gray ones now. Interesting tip about rotation seal against sliding. All I’ve been asking for is ‘fork seals’ in bike shops. I’ll try factors next.

Today I tried several local bike shops, no joy. Tried a bearing and oil seal factor, they didn’t have that size. I found myself at Vines Motorrad. I don’t know who was more surprised me or them. They had 3 in stock. Only goes to show. 2 hours later, job done.

Show what ? That a BMW dealer sells fork seals for BMW's ?

BMW Australia does not do spare parts, even parts for warranty claims are slipped into the container with the next shipment of bikes, which can be three months away.
The only BMW dealer for 800 km can't / wont even sell me a Airhead oil filter, so for us in Oz a BMW dealer with fork seals is just beyond contemplation.
And if they do eventually agree to get us anything, it will be at least double the price it would be if we ordered it from 'bins or ' works or from the US dealers with parts list ordering.

That they have them in stock at a dealership. Is that where you go for all of your parts for 1984 bikes? No need to answer.
