Are there any other tanks that will fit these frames without modification? I know paralever GS tanks will fit but I'm thinking an older model like /5 or/6.

I dont think the /5 or /6 tanks will fit due to the cutout required on the right side of the fram (when viewed from above) where the electrics are on the ST and G/S.
Im sure that those more knowledgeable than me about airheads will be along soon to confirm/deny my thoughts.
Later R100GS, or R100R (Mystic) tanks will fit..... I have just fitted a Mystic tank to my ST for more tank range, and I think it looks good.

Yes they do look good and add to the fuel range but I'm after the 'older' look. I may have to resort to reshaping but it's always good to see what other have done. If I can keep from altering the standard frame I will.

My R60/5 tank will not fit my 1982 R100 so therefore are not interchangeable without modification me thinks.
I'm running a later R65 tank on mine until I can either find an ST tank or get mine repaired.

Is that on your Basic replica, Rob? I remember that having an R65 tank, without the knee indents, however you might not have the bike anymore!
