Is there any difference to a G/S tank, I had always assumed that they were one and the same?

The ST tank has the flush filler cap. Apart from that it's the same shape as the g/s tank.

I know were a G/S tank lurks in a friends garage,any use Ill phone him for you.Not got ST tank though.Is it not the same as a R65 tank.

The St or g/s tank has indents where your knees fit. The R65 tank doesn't and looks bloated with the Mono seat fitted.

I just dug this thread up and instead of writing a new one,
I just add my humble request to purchase an ST or G/S tank as well
(since I assume Rob has found histank already).
So if you do have one or see one for sale, please give me a shout.

Wise move, as Rob nails the often-not-fully-perceived differences quite effectively.

I can add is that the ST tank was also used on the Basic, in place of the non-flush pipe breather cap of the G/S.
