Hi , A friend of mine is having difficulty clearing the drain holes around his filler cap . Does anybody know where they drain to , and the best way to clear them ? Thanks in advance , Mike

there are two rubber hoses that hang down the RHS of the bike - one is the tank breather/vent. the other is from the cap drain - blow air into each to work out which is which.. the blocked one should be ---- errr - blocked.

Yes Blow air in from the pipes just in from the join Just under the right front of the rider seat One will "waft" the other may be very tight

but just from yer lungs If you use an airline you can blow the connection completely off inside the tank

I use a wee bit of mig wire folded back on itself so it doesn;t puncture the rubber and gently work it down thru from the filler cap end pulling back to clear it frequently

I had the opposite problem water getting into the fuel,so I replaced both rubber hoses in the tank as they were perished. So fuel was also leaking out the over flow a simple enough job. empty tank then tank off, unscrew fuel pump tank plate, unscrew filler cap tie a piece of string to both hoses disconnect from both hoses from filler area gently remove pump assembly and pull through hoses and string. Replace hoses at pump plate tie to string gently pull out of filler opening. Reconnect hoses to filler, bolt on fuel pump with a new O ring refit filler cap job done. you need 1mtr of hose to do both from your usual parts supplier and 4 hose clips plus the O ring. I also changed the fuel filter the fuel sock at the bottom of the fuel pump and the very expensive U shape hose at the same time.
