Yeah - me again, showing my ignorance. :P
But i'm baffled . :P!

I go to do the most basic service and am asked in the Bike Shop whether i want:
NGK BCPR7ET (3 pronged, for models up to April '99)
or
NGK BKR7EKC (2 pronged for later models) ....

... so i take a plug out to see what's in it now: NGK R BKR5E with 1 prong.
Hence the thread title spark plugWTF? :blast

I know the main differences with these choices is heat range - i'm using a quite 'hot' plug now - it has a resistor and a single 'prong'.
I doubt it would make much difference using a slightly colder plug with more prongs.
If it makes any difference - The Bike has a "Greek John" chip in it.

Just that i'm mystified as to the choice of plug in it now!

You just MADE it complicated

Didn;t it run well with that spark thing in it ??

Oh by the way its a BKR5e-11 V groove :wink

P.S. it NEVER sparks to the 2 or 3 prongs simultaneously,

It sparks to the nearest one to the centre electrode

Getting more miles out of a more expensive sparkplug

I have found that iridium plugs work very well in all my bikes, and they last a long time. I would recommend you to get a pair of NGK BKR7EiX :rob

Sorted. Thanks All.

I have been educated, here and offline. :augie :D
Thank You.
