R850R Headlamp

A mate of mine has secured an 850 R from the Uk and is shipping it over here to Spain shortly. He will be re registering it and will have to sort the headlamp for EU use. Is it a simple matter of changing the gubbins inside the bowl or will he have to obtain a complete unit. Thanks in anticipation.
