Had the 9T out for a few hours yesterday and went from Aberdeen to Glenshee via Tarland and Braemar and came back in via Ballater and the South Deeside road.

There must have been several hundred people at the Glenshee ski centre, the car park was full and police were there trying to keep order with the parking. On the way back in there were armed police walking around the square at Ballater - strange times.

Luckily the little bike didn't miss a beat and the roads were quiet and dry - happy days from a biking aspect. :beerjug:

Have you had it long ? How are you getting on with it, I'll be honest and say I'm struggling with mine though I'm putting it down to being so cold due to inappropriate clothing.

I do like the bar end mirrors- where did you get them ?

I was out yesterday as well, Dunoon to Inveraray to Green Welly and back. Dry roads, occasional sunshine and Green Welly was selling coffee, soup etc as carryout only. Likewise didnt miss a beat and it did get pushed on a bit so much so the fuel light came on at 124 miles. This was the first run for pleasure all previous ones were to put miles on the clock prior to the 600 mile service. It was cold and although the bike was impeccable I will wait until the weather is a good bit warmer before I venture out again. I really dont mind admitting I am now a fair weather biker.

Had the bike for just over 4 years now. I used to have GSA’s but I came off one almost 6 years ago and properly f@cked my right ankle to such an extent that I cant take any weight on it now and the GSA was just too heavy to hold / move around; so I bought this little thing for buggering around on and something else for longer runs / touring.

I love the 9T and have never had so much fun on a bike before. I have got her just the way I want her now and the final part to the jigsaw is getting her down to Bob Scott in Glenrothes this week to have her tuned (I removed the Cat recently) and a PC 5 fitted.

I like the seat,is it a Corbin?
Always fancied a 9t but the bum to foot peg distance is a bit to cramped for me.

Just got them from here:

I had a set of Rizoma Spy Ball mirrors on her before, so drop me a line if you fancy a look at them as it was my intention of selling them on here.

I've still got those ridiculous karoo 3 tyres on so once they are done and things heat up a bit I'm hoping it'll be all good.

I really wanted the "sport" version when I bought mine but ended up with the original version.
In the end it was just too cramped a riding position for me so it had to go but a great bike.

They are a bit cramped . I lowered the foot pegs by 20mm and put a gel pad in the seat and that made quite a difference. Get some decent suspension and they are a lot more comfortable and controlled.

Did you get to Bob Scott's?

No Dave, I didn’t make it down yesterday due to circumstances beyond my control and I am now rebooked for 3pm on Friday - hopefully the stars will align for me later in the week.....

I have been on BMW flat twins for about 15 years now and haven’t had any of them tuned / PC fitted etc and I am looking forward to seeing what the difference is going to be with the little 9T.

I should be riding her back up to Aberdoom on Friday evening and I shall be able to report back very soon thereafter.

Fingers crossed. Hope it's a decent day for the journey. Looking forward to hearing your assessment.

.

Without meaning to sound like a cnut, should you really be making any unnecessary journeys.

What about social distancing before and when you get to the garage? The government has asked us not to make journeys except and unless they are vital. Not wishing anyone one to have an accident on their bike but just suppose something happens on the way down. At the very least you will come in direct contact with other folk (say a passing motorist coming to assist). If the situation was more serious then it could be members of the emergency services that would have to attend just at a time when their resource are already stretched. Don't you think that under the current circumstances that it may be advisable to leave to another time.

Dario,
You must remember that this lockdown doesn’t apply to some on here. They know better.

Well now the lockdowns semi-relaxed in Englandshire and having got it taxed it was time this morning for a sedate potter around South Notts/North Leicestershire - the first of the year

Bike all nice and shiny :thumby:

Joined up with a fellow tosser ensuring we kept to the 2m social isolating rules and stopped at Swithland Reservoir to stretch our legs - interesting little "Not Suitable for Motors" lane to get there (Rushy Lane) :augie

The Wilbers rear shock and modified front forks coped really well with the bumpy back roads - the Scrambler has definitely become a keeper :D
