radiator and headlight guards...worthwhile or unnecessary?

bmw one.. looks sleek and easily removed for cleaning,,,( just remember that tho if leaving bike anywhere unsafe?) :thumb2

Oops meant to say that having had one replaced as a Stone smacked right into it and put a crazed crack bang in the centre id recommend one..:thumb2

as for Rad grills Ive got them and they do seem to stop the gravel chips flying into the rad cooling fins and making a mush of them as it did on my first one

With all the scaremongering on here and a spare few quid laying around as they do it was the time to put some ease to the worries :D

Like the slogan 'Complete your BMW'

Nice and shiny before fitting. It is the rear end of the guard.

Had rad guards and headlamp guards since Jan 2014. Always very reassuring when young son is spinning back wheel in front on Tiger 800 on Welsh dirt roads. However dealer just this week suggested, (for first time) that rad guards might be inhibiting cooling air flow when stationary or in traffic (Fan kicking in very quickly and running bit long against 'normal time' on bench test) and just to be aware. Suggested no problem when moving but if going anywhere "hot" to be aware.
