Anyone recommend me a small but quality stereo radio for my garage. Power available but no internet. I bought a small mono radio for about 20 quid which was useless. Hoping for max £30-40

I have a small DAB cheap radio sat here in Cheshire collecting dust, you’re welcome to it if you think it’s worth your while. Bought from Argos many years back I had it in my office at work, probably could do with some switch cleaner blasting through it. 🤔 I can get pics later if you’re interested..

Grant, I've just treated myself to a Makita DAB so I can lug it around the garden too...meaning I have a couple of (old) spare DAB radios. One is a small Roberts that is ok, the other is a little bigger Sony (with Bass boost :D) that sounds ok but if you lose power to it it doesn't remember the presets. If you want one of either just shout though I stress they're not 'quality', just free

If you're going buy, look for a second hand Ruark. VFM

I'd recommend the British made and designed Azatom DAB radios which will also stream music from your phone. Had one for 10 years now in my workshop....great radios and available in stereo options. New, from around £60 but used examples on Ebay. Fab things and not the usual disposable Chinese rubbish. Thy come with a very good warranty too.

Fantastic bit of kit . I had one in the garage. It would find a signal when others wouldn’t.

I currently have two DAB Makita worksite radios. The wife bought me one some years ago which was too nice to get mucky on job sites, so she saw a tatty SH one forsale nearby and bought me that one for work. So one in the van and the new one resides on a shelf in my workshop at home.
However, my favorite station is(was) Absolute, which neither now recieve. There’s been no warning that I’ve seen, but from what I can find out, it seems Absolute and quite a few other stations, inc Karang and Planet Rock, are now only available on DAB+.
So it seems my perfectly usable, pretty expensive radios, are almost useless now. Wife can’t get Absolute on the Cars Radio now too. Modern Tech for you again.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
So if anyones looking to buy a new radio, make sure it’s DAB+…..

Try Radio X … just as good as absolute 😉 I can still get Absolute on our 2017 VW up ….
