Rain over suit

lost my over suit this year on a jolly up to Portpatrick, It was a fully lined Frank Thomas over suit that I bought about 6 years ago, and although it didnn't quite pack down that small it was a cracking suit, looking around at whats available all seem to be on the lite side. has anybody got any recomendations, and I'm not after anything like an aerostich.

I have an Alpinestars "smock" top and troos - about £60 I think - v happy as they are small when packed, easy on when required.

I buy the cheap decathlon rain jacket and pants every two years. £20 and trash it all winter long. Packs up small and if I lose it not to bothered.

Ridden mine through torrential weather a number of times and always dry.

BMW ProRain II

On short trips I generally go 'el fresco' with my Rallye 2 Pro twat suit with the Gore-Tex liners but for the extended trips I pack the BMW ProRain II suit.

I've been in horizontal rain/hail storms with it and been as warm as toast and bone dry.

Just buy 2 sizes larger as you can look like a bug under a magnifying glass when putting it on hopefully under an overpass.

I'm 6'3 and 205 and use a XXL.

I find that ordinary and cheap rain over-suits can be almost unbearable to wear when it's rainy AND hot, because they don't breathe at all. It's like wearing a portable sauna. So, I opted for BMW's Klimacomfort suit, which is made of Gore-tex, and breathes much more. It IS horribly expensive, but for me there is no other alternative. Now, I am not sure you can find it anywhere now, since BMW has abandoned the Gore-tex license, for a new deal with Schoeller, or something.
