rally moto sprint

I'll be there on my R1100GS.

Just noticed that Touratech are holding a Motor Gymkhana the day before at their HQ in South Wales. Details here:

I'll be passing there enroute to Sweet Lamb so makes sense to call in on the Saturday and give it a go. Might take spare wheels and tyres as don't want to wear out the TKCs on their tarmac car park event.:)

Anyone else up for this on the Saturday as a warm up?

bloody hell that tootle around the car park is no warm up for whats in store for you guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fuel Tankers Strike, Get Your Fuel Early !!!

Get you fuel early folks, We already have queues at petrol stations here popped in to fill my three 5lt cans at Salisbury's as i always do before an event only to be told i could only fill two of them, Only allowed 10lt, I ask what would happen if i had turned up with a 25lt jerry can and was told i would not be served.

You have been warned don't leave it till the weekend the queues will only get longer and they might stop people filling cans !!!

Well I just spent last Sunday competing in a 3 hour enduro on my KTM 300 so I've not ridden the GS for a while. I could barely walk yesterday after the enduro so I should just be back to normal by this weekend. The motogymkhana might just help me get the feel of my lumbering 1100 which always feels like a two-wheel bus after the lightweight KTM.:)

We should get the final instructions over the weekend i think that will tell you what times you can signing on, Get your bike checked over and what time the first bike is away :thumb

I'm hoping they do some signing on and scrutinering on the Saturday afternoon/evening so i can get an extra hour in my bunk Sunday morning :D

I will be sleeping in my van, See below ;)

this is killing me....:(

Not long to go now ;-)

Final preparations are coming together nicely - and it looks like rain on Saturday when we will setting most of the course out - great ;-)

Hi Dan,

Get cracking and sort that bike out. Moly and I have sorted the course and it is gonna suit you and your bike.

See you there.

Burt

Day off today to get it sorted. Panels to put back on tomorrow and a smaller sprocket for the front. Ridden it round the garden and I can just hook third. :D All seems good. It goes. It turns. It stops.

Going to head down to Mavs lanes near Cheltenham tomorrow afternoon to see if anything falls off......:thumb2

Vans loaded and has enough fuel to get me there and back, Bikes loaded fully fuelled plus i have enough in cans for the event ;)

Going to leave here about 10am and i should get there about 1pm to help set up the course :thumb

Got plenty fuel hoping to set off at around 3pm with mine and Mikeyboys bike in tow. Woohoo.....

One of the best days riding my GS that I can remember.:D

BIG thanks to Burt and all involved with this event.

AWESOME.:D

Thanks Burt and Moly for organising a great day it looked a lot of work for you for which we are grateful, the course was cool and each lap you found a section that could be rode faster, my problem was I can't ride over blind summits at full chat even though i know there is nothing the other side to worry about, guess it is a state of mind + the fact i need to go and earn a living on Monday morning but all in all i was pretty pleased with my times, cheers happy days.

As much as I love riding my bike fast i also love the countryside, if i can get both fixes in 1 day then I am a pretty happy boy, the views from Sweetlamb are up there with the best.:clap
