hi all

i've just bought a Rallye 2 Pro jacket, and was wandering if anyone uses one with a heated liner when its raining?

i'm sure i've read somewhere that heat can sometimes make goretex leak in the rain, which could obviously be a problem. i currently use the BMW phase-change thermal undercrackers, which are really good, but sometimes some extra warmth would be nice!!!

many thanks in advance

Jim

ps its the black one.

The problem for Goretex is if it's warmer on the outside of your jacket / boots / gloves and it's raining. You'll be ok with the heat on the inside :)

Problem I have heard of is heated grips and goretex etc gloves :(

Rallye 2 with Gerbing jacket, absolutely no problem in the rain :thumb

I think this is more likely to give you a problem ;) Your phase-change stuff is designed to soak up heat & release it when required, so you won't get the full benefit of the heated liner. I was out today & have the phase-change top & was using a heated waistcoat. At one point, I couldn't tell if the waistcoat was turned on or not...:eek
