Revitt Cayenne Jacket
I tried one of these today and it seems a really good bit of kit and seems to do everything the Rallye 2 does but cheaper.
Vents on front, sleeves and back
Removable waterproof liner
Removable thermal liner
Removable 'Fanny' pack
More pockets than you can shake a stick at
Camelback pocket and hose fittings
and all for £220-ish
Anyone any experience?

I might well treat myself in the new year :D

PS: The picture doesn't really do it justice and I'm sure the model is wearing a size too small :o

Yes i've been using the Cayenne Jacket for months now and can confirm it is TOP gear. Does every thing you want it to. I had the Ralleye 2 gear but prefer the Revit.

RIDE or TWO (?) did a test on these type of jackets a month ago or so. The Cayenne didn't do very well once it came to the waterproof bit. Other than that, nice looking jacket.

It was in RiDE and it came 5th (I think) apparently it performed well at everything except it let a small bit of water in at the neck or elbows(cant remember which). But 5th aint bad :)

Its a bit bright for me. One of the things I'm not keen on the with BMW Rallye kit and the HG tuareg stuff is the colour schemes (and probably the fact that at a GS meet nearly everyone wears it!).

I want all the features but would like something a bit different. This seems to fit the bill.

The Cayenne is available in 3 colours grey/red, grey/black(as picture) and all black (with reflective bits on the back) which suits my subtle tastes :o

The 'ultimate' trousers are similar design (vents + two liners + reflective bits etc.) and match the black jacket.

PS. Cheapest place I've found is here:
http://www.harpersraceshop.co.uk/item1384.htm at £214
my local dealer wanted £280!

Llama,

Horses for courses. The Pharoa seems to have better ventilation than the Cayenne, the Cayenne is probably warmer and better suited to your climate :D I hope to visit Germany soon so I will take a look at Polo, I have their catalogue and it is very impressive.
These days I prefer bright colours and tend to wear a high vis vest over my winter Rukka stuff. Maybe this comes from living in France? Maybe I more in touch with my feminine side? :ymca :ymca :thumb :D

Edit: Just followed your link and checked out the Cayenne again. The front pockets are removeable which then creates an airflow jacket! Impressive!

Flip what's your thought here, you're using one?

I've just been lucky bawstard and got almost brand new (few times ridden) Rally 2 about exacly 3X cheaper than on BM dealer here including goretex insert :D

Though, Tuareg stuff is good too. Maybe i'll get'em pants if can't find at least 3X cheaper Rally pants this long winter ahead... ;) I agree ReVit has the best light colours that i really need too (well, after the ideally combined BM stuff of course), but don't like the short back of this Revit jacket after seeing Rallye 2 long back and with pockets, dunno why, ReVit can get cold perhaps

Don't have enough cash myself, but if you do - my recommendation would be buy the best you can, life's worth more than it!!! New series Rukka, BMW, HG seem to be very protective and modern, and expensive of course...

I did 300 miles in steady rain sometimes heavy with no leaks, only slight damp around the cuffs where the inner lining ends. I can understand the report of leaks around the collar but the collar has a sliding press stud so you can ride with it as tight or as loose as you like, saying that i ride with mine loose with no leaks. I'm also using the air flow pants with liners in and also no leaks, need long johns on though this weather. All in all i'm quite impressed with Revit. They seem to have put some effort into design. Hav'nt used the vents much yet they will have to be good to beat the Ralleye 2 vents though. Since buying mine 2 mates have bought similar Revit gear and both are impressed.
Hope this helps.
