Had a try of a Rallye Pro the other day, really liked the jacket, and am thinking long and hard about it.
However; is anyone aware of a HG jacket that is similar in style and design?
My nearst HG is some distance away so am asking for the opinion of your good selves.
If I did go for the Rallye Pro is there one place better than others to get it from??

Thanks, Paul

Nearly bought the BMW Rally suit last year but the sizes did not suit my lanky shape. Bought the latest HG Tuareg Gortex suit instead (Black and light brown colours) and so far realy rate it.

Major advenatage is that it is is circa half the price of the BM stufff

Would recommend having a look particularly if you can get hold of the latest HG vouchers which give you a discount of 50% off the second item purchased. :thumb

Had the BM Rallye suit-sold it 2 years ago,it was an impulse buy and didn't really do anything the Gericke Tuareg suit couldn't,plus the Gericke suit was much cheaper :thumb
I've just bought the new Gericke Rallye suit, which is great,it's got the usual stuff, removable liner, loads of vents,re-enforced impact areas etc.
Seems well made too,and I bought it with the Gericke money off voucher, which made it less than half the price of the BM version, nothing against the BM suit apart from the price, and the lingering Ewan & Charlie effect :mmmm

I've had my Rallye 2 Pro jacket four months now, it got a really good testing on my trip to France and Spain. I cant fault it. In the very warm weather, the vents worked great. i also had the H2O bladder fitted in the rear. On my return, i stripped it down, stuck it in the washing machine and it came back as new. I love it :thumb

Never Had The BMW gear although i like the look loads..

I have HG Tuareg kit...Winter and summer gear. For the money you just cant go wrong.. They do a great job and they look the biz too..

A Big Thumbs up from me :thumb :thumb :thumb :thumb :thumb

Got the rallye II suit , very versitile , very dry , bit cold in the winter though :( .
Very cool in the summer
He's right you know ,it's very easy to wash , 30 degrees on no 8 ( Whatton spilt his G&T on me ) now smells of Bold Lavender and is just about dry :thumb
The Mill in Sunderland have 20% of their clothing range at the minute and have plenty of jackets in stock . :bounce1
Don't use my H&G jacket anymore .

Been using Rallye as well. With some fleece under it and goretex inserts attached it's easily doable near to freezing point riding while with it's (i think the most advanced vents on the planet Earth :)) for sure doable over +40C, they wouldn't ride Dakar stage wins with it if it was not :thumb

For sure the top temperature-range kit out there it is.

Let it ride boys:

To be fair the Rally jacket is a great piece of kit but it's feckin shapeless, it's like wearing a box!

If you have a small waist it hangs off you like a sack'o'shite. On the other hand, the Tuareg jacket appears to be a perfect fit for everyone as it's extremely adjustable at both the waist and the hem. Plus the Tuareg is superb value for money!

So, if you're a big fat bastard then the Rally jacket is for you! Built like Kate Moss?......forget it :bounce1

rallye 2 pro

This is my first time on the site. Picked up new 1200gs 2 weeks ago, decided to get the Rallye 2 pro jacket, trousers, gs boots and gloves in the royal blue colour. What a great piece of kit.....
The bikes is just fantastic.

Wore my rallye II from here to Australia and it was great. Coped with all the weather conditions, although in really chilly weather it could be cold. Never leaked and held up to me falling off a few times.

Can't comment on how it washes, mine is now pink, covered in crap and oil and smells like someone has slept in it for a year... Er... Well they have!!!! But I could never wash it as the dirt and stains all tell their own story!

Can't fault it except it is expensive and in my opinion looks much better once you have worn it for a while and knocked the newness out of it. I did feel a bit self conscious when I first wore it post LWR and all that!!! :D

What are you trying to say here? I find my Rallye II Pro to be a perfect fit

This is what iv'e done to my R2 PRO . ;)

Removed bladder holder .
Cut of belt .
Re-attached belt to waist .
With the buckle at the rear .
Then you can alter the width of the waist when you add or remove linners or clothing . This will alow you to look your best when passing large shop windows
Bladder holder still fits :clap
You can attach knife and tool holders to belt if you wish :D

Ps , Mutley ai'nt fat , he's the perfect weight for a 6ft 1in GS owner :thumb
