Excellent:clap

Lord Twatus:bow

Oi....Captain Twat to you!

My nephew always called me Captain BMW when I was wearing the kit. It isn't low profile is? I've had it for 6 years now, been involved in lots of spills and stuff- gone a nice shade of orange. It doesn't look any better when it's dirty either. It works and I wear it almost everytime when on the GSA. It's when your wearing it away from any other BMW owners when you start to feel uncomfortable....bad enough turning up on a beemer at 'real bikers events' without looking like an advert for them....thanks for the support you tossers.:)

Clothing

I bought a Wolf sport textile jacket and trousers a year back. Waterproof, armoured with separate removable thermal inners. Look good too (in black) and about £270 total. You don't see that many around on the road too... Oh and you get a Wolf's head on your back - what more do you want..... Here's a link to a dealer: www.seastarsuperbikes.co.uk/clothingWOLF.html - worth a look.

Just used my Difi in anger... Good ventalation, I'm pleased I brought it.

Lots of horse out this evening didn't go down well as I was on a training ride for the Dawn to Dusk and today was at race speed !

The rear brake on the airhead's a bit iffy when I'm wearing enduro boots (it's fine with my altberg's) so I had one to many moments stopping with a locked front.

Mind you all the riders where very fit young ladies tonight... yummy

I'm going to the Alps for 3 weeks soon and have to admit I'll use the twat jacket, my HG would be too hot for me.
I'll just make sure I'm not in any photos wearing it:o

Sorry but I don't believe anyone who claims to have found the Holy Grail of motorcycle clothing in one suit.

If the suit that gives suitable impact protection, abrasion resistance, is totally water-proof, warm as toast in the winter and cool as ice in the summer had been constructed, we'd all be wearing them and all other's would be gathering dust.

I have a range of gear for different circumstances. Broadly this falls into two categories:

One is a suit or combination that I can wear additional layers under for added warmth. It is water-proof but not toasty in winter.

The second is a water-proof suit that needs additional outer layers for warmth.

It really doesn't matter how many vents a jacket may have, it will still be hot if it's worn in hot weather and there is no airflow passing through the vents.

The same jacket is going to allow more cold air in via the closed vents in winter.

Anyone who reckons that they can remain completely dry on a bike in hot wet weather is talking bollox. You have two options when it's hot and wet, you either get wet from the inside or you get wet from the outside.

(Before anyone points to their Stitch and claim it's the Holy Grail, sorry but I've seen enough reports of them leaking through the zips and puddles in the folds that then leak, not to be convinced they are any better or any worse).

I have found the right combination of gear that suits me and the various conditions dictate what I wear and when.

I live with the fact that at times I will be hot or cold or moist (Mmm, moist! :mmmm).

I've found the holy grail

Am I getting close? :nenau

Found a thread on here about looking a twat in a Rallye 2 suit. I thought this was a good idea and was going to kit myself out in trousers, jacket and boots but now not so sure. Any one got any views on this suit or decent alternatives before I spend my hard earned dosh ?
Ta, Tim.

Think this says more about the onlooker than the wearer!
Wear what you like and to hell with anyone else's observations! :P

I vote for the twat look.
It is as close to the Holy Grail as you can get- Rode from England in Cold, Rain to Sahara in it. Yes the base layers changed accordingly but did the job. Those vents are the bee knees..........
