The missus has pretty much given up her pillion days so most of my riding will be 1-up from now on.

I have a 2018 GSA Rallye and have been thinking of changing my twin seat set up to the Rallye seat with the plate over the pillion seat.

I know everyone is different but how have those with the Rallye seat found it for comfort on longer rides?

I have the high version and prefer it over the TE seat... you can move about more and IMO it does not tilt you forwards like the stock set up.

Prefer the looks as well / I’ve added a unit garage seat rail which gives you the tie down points!!

I also have the Rallye seat (low version) I would say it's fine for a couple of hundred miles without a problem, as said above it does give you the freedom to shift your weight around very easily, I've done a couple 500 mile plus days on it too and was still able to walk upright afterwards but only just, I may at some point get a Gel pad fitted for long days in the saddle but for day to day use it's great.

I found the same, but used to bung an airhawk in the top box for those longer mile days.

I have clocked up almost 10,000 miles on the Rallye seat including several 500 mile days. I love it. No seat is perfect and you need to take regular breaks but it is at least as comfy as any other bike seat I have owned. See exhibit A.......

The Rallye seat comes in two sizes, standard and high... ( it may actually be called Lower at 860mm and Higher at 890mm)

Mines a “ high” or “higher” at 890mm seat height.

You have to set the front frame setting on high and the rear on low...

So is the high seat the standard height one and just decided to confuse me by calling it high instead of standard?

I find the rallye every bit as comfy as the standard. 3 hours without a break no problem.
Every arse is a different shape.

Would the Rallye seat fit the 1250, and is it tidy at the back? I'm finding too much forward tilt on Exclusive with the two piece . Desperately trying to avoid lower back pain.

That’s the reason I changed - Rallye Seat is available for the 1250 - check the P/N to see if the 1200 one will fit..

Thanks. If I remember correctly the standard seat is roughly the same on high setting so being narrower do you think the rallye seat would be better for the commute etc where your putting your feat down more often?

I ride a gs lc with standard seat high at the front low at the back and tried the rallye seat, found it too hard, like people say everyone is different and I probably should have persevered a bit longer before selling.

Rallye standard vs Rallye high seat

I have a 1250GS on order which will come with the two piece standard seat. I am interested in perhaps changing my order to the Rallye seat standard or high.

Is there any difference in the padding between the two Rallye seats or is the high seat just spaced to get the extra height?

I would also be interested in 'seat of the pants' comfort comparisons between the standard and Rallye standard and Rallye high seat for the 1250GS
