Ive had my Rallye sport for a week and two things bug me.

1. Whirring sound in 3rd at 30 to 40 mph which the dealer says is tyre noise, funny as it dissappears if I pul the clutch in (gotta love the shit dealers say to us)
2. There is very ponderous to no power to speak of in 5th or 6th if you want to accelerate at any speed, its as if it takes a breath, wheeses a bit and then slowly speeds up?

any similar issues and it ideas out there?

Im in dynamic mode

thx Jamie

It is tyre noise coupled with harmonics of the bike. These bikes have suffered from this for years, the Hexheads have it as well.

1. Take it back to the dealer and get them to take the bike on the road.
2.It is called BMW euro 4 fuelling, get it hilltoped and it will feel completely different.

Fixed

1. My previous GS LC did it (I complained to the dealer) with both engines/shafts/bevels and the new one does too.

I've had mine a month and it's perfect, mainly because I know it's a motorbike not a limousine.

Unfortunately not, ask Geoff what he thinks of Ktm fueling.

Been to Geoff a few times but won't be taking the 1290 there . No need to as it doesn't need any tweaking or any more poke !

Maybe more poke , but not a better bike , test rode one and found it awkward , but thats most likely the 17 inch front. Stick with the BM its a better package .
As said before , any monkey an use 170 bhp in a straight line but skill comes into place on good roads and the BM is fully able to stay with the new KTM mothership (lol)
And I think any euro 4 bike needs a tweek .....

We'll get an R then which is more comparable to the Rallye, apart from the state of the art dash, motor and paint finish .

I presume Nutty didn't find it awkward after he got one as well as a Rallye

Maybe but hard to compare a bike with 18 rear and 21 front against a 17 /19 , but depends what you use it for

I think that was the GT

It's about as clear as mud.......

Fuc me , sorry Arsey , first quote only states the 1290 , no model , so I humble apologise that I did not know your mind thoughts ... the wheel sizes I think would explain a bit ,, but maybe not .
Oh and do you really wear one of those twat bibs :bounce1:comfort
