Rally's/Runs

Not a bad day out but chilly :D

Brought the camera but no battery :( :tosser

As there was 3 12's & an RT no pics is not a prob - think most of youse have seen similar bikes before :D & the scenery was mostly white ;) so not very exciting :D

Good to meet ya Denis - you could do worse than that blue bike (it could be red :D :D )

Shame we missed drtod - shout earlier next time, there's a good lad :thumb

The most disappointing thing about today was that the tosser that started the thread didn't turn up :( :( Our revenge will be sweet BF :D :D He said it was too frosty but I think he was under the affluence of incahol

Well where did yous go? Or were ye lost? :dabone :dabone

No feckin pics is one thing, but at least tell us the route. :tosser

Feckin amateurs. :D :D

And don't even start me on cameras without batteries...............bet Mrs Jockser knows where thay are.............. :eyebrow :blush

Guess that explains why they're all flat :D

I headed across to Naas, Kilcock & then Maynooth where I met Ron & his son Ben. We cruised up the N4 to Edgeworthstown where Denis was already waiting on a borrowed 12GS. There's a little hotel (Park House) where we had brekkie (2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 pudding, egg, hash brown, tea & toast for €5 :) ). We had already ordered when Wizard turned up, mumbling about the condition of the roads but I think when the alarm went off he just rolled back onto the missus :D

After our feed & a chat we followed Denis down the N55 to Athlone where he went on towards home (Ennis) & we turned onto the R390 to Mullingar, then onto the N52 to Kells & then Ardee. We partook of more food & drink here before heading to the M1 where Wizard headed north & we went south. Home via the M50/M7/M9. Home by six having covered 250 (cold) miles - thank god for the heated jacket & grips :thumb

Generally the roads weren't too bad, except for a few dodgy r'abouts early in the day  A lot of the roads, even where the sun hit, remained damp but the worst was a couple of dry straights leading into sharp damp right handers - Wizard inspected the soot on my can more than once :D but it woke the :tosser up ;)

Now, are youse sorry youse didn't turn up ??? :mcgun

Top marks lads, for even heading out at all!!! :bow

Woke at 8am checked the temp and it was -1.7C, then looked outside just to put my mind at ease that i would be better off in bed. Freezing fog which didnt clear till about 2pm.

Cheers for keeping me informed Jockser, hopefully next time.

And you can bloody well buy me a new seat...... there's a big sharp ridge in this one since yesterday :dabone

Took the "easy" way down...... Armagh, Monaghan, Cavan. Most of it was OK, but from Middletown down was a bit slippy, so I had to moderate (is that still a bad word around here?) my speed a bit. Took just shy of 2.5 hours to get down. Last time I listen to Jocksers estimates  , and next time I'm doing a Trev!

Sorry I didn't make it either.Looked out and saw the white roads an thought too cold and too far to go from the North west here (checked with theaa.co.uk 138 miles to Edgeworthstown  ) I wouldn't mind in the Spring/Autumn/Summer but not the slippy, salty depths of winter :D
