RAM Aquabox fit for a HP Ipaq 2790?

Does anyone have a Ram Aquabox (RAM-HOL-AQ2)? I am considering buying one for my ipaq, to keep it dry and secure. (not thief proof, just anti-fall off proof).

I have the hx2790, but I'm not sure if it fits.

Any other suggestions for an alternative would be welcome!

It wont fit

The hx2790 is 77mm wide.
I've been using the aquabox 2 for an Ipaq 2215 76mm wide. However, I've had to remove the rubber side grips to make it fit.

What you need is one of these.

It fits several IPAQ models and has pass-throughs for cables.
I found one secondhand in amazon marketplace.

Have a trawl around.

I was hoping tho, that the RAM mount would then be good for use on the motorbike. (I use Tom Tom on it).

Perhaps I could "make" it fit to a RAM Mount?

Not sure what you mean.
I use my IPAQ for Tom Tom.
I've fixed the ram ball mount to the back.
I now use the aquabox 2 for my mobile phone/MP3

Hi blowzorn,

I had a look at that link for the red box in your picture above, but it states that its width is 66mm - narrower than the aquabox which is 72mm. ? Is that a wider version of the same box that you have there?

Blowzorn did manage to shoehorn one inside but width is the main problem as the side buttons get depressed and change screen images.

There's a new AquaBox to hit the street, arrived this week is RAM-HOL-AQ6 which is intended for small to medium size devices (size 6" x 4" x 1.75" depth) so pda, other toys, and gps units, etc and uses the round base RAM-B-202 at the back of it.
