eagerly await arrival of new zumo 660....and wonder if I can use the existing mounts for the old 2610 that are "stuck" onto the car dashboards.

the mount for the 660 seems to have a version of the 2610 mount with a stalk with ball on the end...which looks like it "clicks" into place on the base mount

I have found this on ram website
RAP-180-G1

which is nearly what I hope to find

a couple of photos to try to show wha i mean

so what i'm looking for is the stalk to fit the existing flat "locking base plate" from the 2610 mount

ta:D

hit the 'G' ball spot ..

Old glued and stuck dash pads should be removeable, consider using a warm hot hair dryer onto the offending device and apply until the glue softens then peel off slowly. Clean away any residue.

RAP-180-G1 or Lil' Buddy (dont ! .. I have to live with it :augie ) has a plastic moulded ball on the curved arm, known as the 'G' ball marries onto any Garmin cradle where they have used this ball size inset into the cradle or casing.

HTH,

HTH,

hi thats very helpful, so the RAP-180-G1 will click into my existing 2610 base or needs to be stuck on using its own base....

had a look at website and its still not that clear to me which!:blast
