RAM mount info required

The screen in unrestricted and the movement available for the 2610 without obscurring the clocks is great. Distance for reading is not a problem for me, but manipulating the GPS on teh move is a reach (but as I guess this should be minimal, not a problem).

Had the RAM arm and mounting plate from my previous bike, so bought a u-bolt to trial this system.

It puts the GPS in a good place for the rider, but I think there is too much vibration - the unit seems to be shaking itself to bits and you can hardly focus on it (at idle).

Anybody else notice vibration with this set up??

I'm comparing this to my current mount, which is the original BMW one on the handlebar pinch bolts.

Mine is fine... shakes a little at idle but nothin drastic and still readable... other than that; and the restriction on lowering the screen beyond half way; its very steady ;)
