Also, is this any good for my sat nav mount? Without me having to remove the bar bolt and measuring it will 30mm be the correct size?

All RAM balls are 1" or 25mm, the satnav kit likely shipped with a standard length wing nut clamp, shorter ones are available.

30 mm is standard bolt length for RT bar to upper clamp plate.

I bought and fitted the 30mm stainless RAM bolt today.mit fits perfectly and is a very cheap way of mounting my TomTom.
