Going on first trip to abroad in May to Germany and the ring. :D

I would like to fasten a camera to my bike for the trip and if allowed my video camera for going round the ring.

I have seen the Ram mount RAM-B-149Z-C1 which looks the right assembly but before I buy one I wondered if any one here had any thoughts?

1. Is this only available through GPS Warehouse?

2. Is it easy to use a digital camera on the move?

3. Can you video whislt riding round the ring as I heard that this is now banned?

The ring issue isn't a big one but it would be nice to take some shots while we are all riding.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

No filming allowed these days...:nono ...

ah, but who's to see a little bullet cam tucked discreetly away with camcorder in your tool tray and a LANC switch on the bars to turn it on and off :augie

Just need a decent camcorder with AV in and LANC. Oh, and a bullet cam.

Here's what I did ......

Camera was operated by a LAN cable from the camera to a switch velcro'd to the top of my clutch reservoir. Worked a treat! :)

Just as a matter of interest, I bought some 3M stuff called Duo-Lock the other day. Much better than velcro in as much as it has a much stronger "rip" strength for want of a better term, and it's able to carry heavier loads. Useful if you are carrying a video camera or you want to attach a GPS for instance. It's easy to get hold of in USA, but I bought mine by the metre from ebay. If you go down this route, check that the prices quoted are including vat and P&P :thumb
