As most folk (if they've been paying attention anyway) will know, the NAKAMBALE whisky auction was won earlier this week by Garbo2 with an incredibly generous winning bid of £210.

Garry (Garbo2) has already paid this into Gert's Just Giving account :thumb2
He's just off the phone from me with an even more outstanding example of his generocity :eek:....

Garry only wants the NAKAMBALE Swallie T shirt and want to re-auction the bottle of whisky: the proceeds again going into Gert's Just Giving account. All that Garry asks is that there is a reserve price on the bottle of £120.

So, off we go again. The same bottle of this limited edition and very rare cask strength single malt whisky is up for auction.

Bidding will close at 18:00 hours on Monday 14th November.

Who's going to start off with a bid of £120 then?

Oh, and let's hear it for Garry :clap :clap :clap What a guy! £210 for a T shirt and donating his bottle for re-auction :beerjug:

Not sure if you have seen on "the other site" the idea about the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust's annual horse show. They want sponsors for the various classes at £70 per class. I suggest we club together and sponsor a class and name it "The friends of Gert". Obviously he is remembered fondly in The Gambia and by all his friends here.

Anyone else who wants to be part of this, please let me know and I'll coordinate it with the Horse and Donkey Trust.

Sid, you should do a seperate thread for this in case some folk miss the info cos they've no interest in whisky :beerjug: (that would be gay folk and folk that are no' right :thumb)
