It looks like an 80s shell suit made metal.
Another great example of BMW's questionable efforts at styling a motorcycle...
Who knows what was going through the designers minds, or what drugs were being ingested.
But at least these bikes demonstrated some originality, and set agendas that other manufacturers followed.
Unlike their generic, derivative and frankly anonymous current efforts...

An all black seat would help, as would powder coating the fairing bar in black.
But I agree, it's certainly 'visual indigestion'

Nice looking example, not too sure on the pastel blue 'invacar' colour scheme though.
I think it's best left in a barn.
But as DN says,at least it has character,something not seen in most BMs for over a decade !!
No it is aquamarine, which I am told by my wife is a real colour
I like the outrageous colour schemes. They're so bad they're good if you know what I mean. Helps you distinguish your allies in a dog fight
