Rather liked the look of this

I like that !!! :clap

( I also put a lock on my XL600L spokes whilst visiting a suspect part of Liverpool...and a car drove up..lads bolted out with bolt cutter, cut spokes and had the bike away in under a minute:eek: although cousin and I do love a good chase and his Subaru soon caught the cretin up....who panicked, dropped it and ran off faster than the bike !!:D ( What annoyed me at the time was they knackered the ignition barrel and when I called up RAC to get me home, they refused saying it was dropped so was an accident !! One cancelled membership later - only been with them 23 years  )

Thanks Kenny - a man with mature and discerning taste. And because of that I'll put a pic of my other PD, the Turq one on show ....(has been returned to black forks now though).
At least it's not that common red/white colour scheme favoured by some on here.... Rob????!

I like the outrageous colour schemes. They're so bad they're good if you know what I mean. Helps you distinguish your allies in a dog fight :D

meant to add this

I like this just for having the balls to be so camp - bit like a Transvestite in a showgirl outfit - doesn't give a shit what anybody thinks and is going to have a good time no matter what.

Another great example of BMW's questionable efforts at styling a motorcycle...

Who knows what was going through the designers minds, or what drugs were being ingested.

But at least these bikes demonstrated some originality, and set agendas that other manufacturers followed.

Unlike their generic, derivative and frankly anonymous current efforts...

The thing is, that kind of colour scheme could really work with the angular lines of the LC, but BMW are playing safe with Red / Grey White (when I ordered mine)

But if you talk to a nice man near Maidstone for a few quid you can have it any colour you like, with the extras painted on! DAMHIK!

or just have it RED!

True, I need to message that nice man, I've been promising to. I'm not 100% sure the LC is a keeper yet.

i had one of the p/d models in that hideous black and spearmint i think they called it ,must have been chosen by stevie wonder absolutly hideous colour ,the only nice p/d colour scheme was the red /white combo every thing else is horrible truly horrible

I think these colours were "of their time". Not to everybody's tastes now of course but they help mark out
the era that these bikes came from. Personally, I love these colours and see them as part of the charm of
these older bikes. (But then I'm biased having the "marmite" colour of Ribena !!). :D
All you haters must be Oilhead owners.............:D

ive owned all of the models and the best colour scheme was the bumble bee and you are right they are of the time but still horrible and yes i love marmite but not ribena !!!
