Any ideas how to stop this thing rattling its tits off!!

I've dropped the extension section off,

but it still rattles and shakes like some demented conga dancer.

I've noticed other screens have more, extension buffers between the carrier and the screen

(mine has one buffer each side ) btw

Have you checked the height adjustable rear mounts are tightening properly. It might need spacer washers between screen and plastic mounts. Givi provide thick washers for the job but they might not be enough. My GSA mounts were badly scrunched (from before I had the bike). I cut the alignment lugs short so the two halves could settle up nicely to the Givi screen.

Mine has always flexed more than I like. A cross tube between the top mounts helped (attached with P clips). A second-hand Touratech screen stiffener fully sorted it. It's an adjustable wedge that fits between screen front and mounting brace. The TT device is over fussy and (new) costs a fortune but something could be made with alloy sheet or even a plastic block.

The Givi screen comes with its own spacers etc and has to be assembled one way. You can download the instructions to check your assembly. My Givi screen didn't rattle at all.

But it still uses the OEM mount (spacers, blocks, lugs or whatever they are called) that fit into the screen angle slots. The Adventure mounts are wider to take the screen brace. That's not needed with the Givi screen so the alignment fingers are too long and need to be cut short. It sounds bad but the fingers are usually mangled by mechanics getting left and right parts mixed up so are no loss.

Bingo , And why does it rattle??? because the two side support brackets are missing !!!!!

that explains the holes in the front of the screen!!

Another thing to add to the list of things to do lol
