Re-Chromed Forks

Just trying to do a mate a favour.

Anyone know of somehwere you can take your forks to to get them re-chromed? In the Newport, S.Wales area?

I don’t know anyone in your area. It’s a specialist job as they should be checked for straightness first and straighten if required, the old chrome ground off, then rechrome with hard chrome and then ground to size. A company which referbs Hydraulic rams might be able to do it..

There`s a couple of places that advertise in the services section of MoreCrapthanNews...they do a postal service.
However,in the past I`ve found them to be nearly as costly as new tubes, nevermind good used ones.
