Re-coding BMW pannier locks

Hi,

I am looking at buying a set of BMW Aluminum panniers for my F650GS. Does anyone know if you can re-code locks or would I have to buy a new set? Spoke to my local dealer and they said a new lock set would be needed?

Locks can be recoded, just ask seller to remove the lock barrels using their key. Then you just have to rearrange the levers to suit your key, at worst you may need a few more levers. There are only 3 different ones.
