Hi
Has any one got paint bubbling on engine block where heads are attached to block
On 2016 triple black gs
Mine has started and was wondering if a common thing

FFS:blast Yes it is probably more common nowadays then a GS it self :rob

By the way, you have started a thread number 17367982 on this very subject :banghead:

Just paint it with hammerite and don't worry after all what do you expect for £16000

Re corrosion

Going in for first year service next week so dealer in Dublin can see for themselves
Bike is just 1 year old with 8k on clock kept in heated garage used mainly in dry weather

I am only asking the question about triple black models
I know there has been a issue with earlier models

That's cool but it is yet another thread about the dreaded corrosion, that is what I am getting too. After all, your bike is under warranty, so take it to your supplying dealer (who promised to look after you) and kick up a stink about it.

I wish you very best of luck in getting it sorted. I however not convinced that even a replacement (if you get that far) engine will be any better painted.

Sorry don't know how to add pictures

That looks bad on a year old bike. I think you have every right to complain.

Looks to me like gasket/sealant has been pulled out at the joint so water got onto the raw metal and oxidising it from underneath. it'll only get worse from here. Definitely first thing to the dealers with it. Also keeping it washed as often as possible helps to reduce salt damage. DO NOT USE MUCK-OFF on this bike ever, I am only making an assumption that you do.

On a year old bike that is disgusting !!!

Amazes me why anybody would spend £16000 for this shite.

Good luck with getting it sorted and hope the replacement lasts more than a year.

Nutty will be along in a mo to say that it's a very rare occurrence.

I really don't understand why they paint components and then machine them leaving a sharp edge with no paint on.
They should be machined to size, de-burred and then painted.
But that would be a quality handmade product and could cost as much as £16,000.

don't let old nutty see those pictures as he wont have a bad word said about the 3 blacks bike
BTW that will need a new engine that will, join the club there are only 100 of us in it lol

I will be moving along now. :D

Why on earth would I defend that? It's fucking disgraceful.

but you still never answered the question, have you ever used ACF50 or any sort of spray on the bike???, although I know this is a dumb question:blast
